About Sally-Ann
Sally-Ann brings over 20 years of exercise and fitness teaching experience into her Yoga and Pilates classes. She is a qualified teacher of the Inner Yoga Trust School, accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga and an Advanced Pilates Instructor, qualified to OCR Level 3.
Sally-Ann is also a qualified BACR (British Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation) Phase IV Instructor and is recognized as an Advanced Instructor by REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals).
Sally-Ann's Pilates teaching was initially inspired by a need to find a way to manage her own back problems, developed after giving birth to her twins in 1996. Six years of teaching and a traumatic premature delivery had left severe back difficulties and the desire to continue teaching forced a change in direction. This led to Sally-Ann becoming qualified as a Pilates teacher with the Pilates Institute in London, later specializing in back care and rehabilitation using Pilates as a basis for re-educating movement and postural awareness.
Sally-Ann's Yoga teaching has developed from a love of Yoga built up over 17 years. She became inspired to re-define her teaching skills and become a Yoga teacher, after meeting Jenny Beeken, founder of the Inner Yoga Trust in 2004.
Since completing the Inner Yoga Trust's Teacher Awareness Programme, Sally-Ann has gone on to build up Yoga classes in Four Marks and Alton in Hampshire. She also runs specialist Yoga sessions and an annual Yoga retreat weekend in Cornwall.
