A typical class starts with a focus on the breath before flowing through a sequence of postures that link breath and movement. Sun salutations warm the body, followed by sequences of standing and balancing postures before coming down onto the mat where longer holds, spinal articulations and gentle inversions prepare the body for a deep and restorative relaxation.
Yoga flow classes are suitable for all levels as options will be given to suit the needs of the practitioner. These classes are inspired by the Prana Vinyasa Flow of Shiva Rea and will serve to both strengthen and open the body and calm the mind.
‘Yoga is really about being able to synchronize with the deep rhythm of nature, the deep rhythm of what it is to be alive in this universe’ – Shiva Rea
Yoga first crossed Rebecca’s path whilst travelling 20 years ago. Initially the physical benefits of the practice of asana (postures) were the main attraction.
Two decades, several Indian adventures and hours of practice later; Rebecca is passionate about sharing the life enhancing effects of a regular yoga practice that explores beyond asana alone.
