Yoga first crossed Rebecca’s path whilst travelling 20 years ago. Initially the physical benefits of the practice of asana (postures) were the main attraction. Two decades, several Indian adventures and hours of practice later; Rebecca is passionate about sharing the life enhancing effects of a regular yoga practice that explores beyond asana alone.
Rebecca has a BSc in Psychology which complements her RYT 200 hour training in Seasonal Yoga; graduating in 2015. She has certification in Yoga Anatomy, is qualified to teach yoga to Adults with Special Needs and is currently studying a 300 hour Prana Vinyasa teacher training with the great yogi Shiva Rea.
As a former athlete competing for the England National Squad in Taekwondo, Rebecca is interested in how yoga helps reduce injury and supports rehabilitation. She is a qualified Sports Yoga Coach under the tutelage of Sarah Ramsden who is famed for her work with premiership football teams.
Beginners and seasoned yogis are welcome. Options are given to cater for all needs and the physical practice is as challenging or restorative as the practitioner wishes it to be. You can expect to experience posture (asana), breath practice (pranayama), meditation (dhayana) and yoga nidra (pratyahara). Classes are designed to strengthen the body and calm the mind.
